UPDATE FOR the 2018 FIELDWORK SEASON
This is a draft review copy of the final report to fulfill the requirements of the Rhode Island Historical Preservation and Heritage Commission permit # 18-22, for the Rhode Island Marine Archaeology Project (RIMAP) fieldwork conducted September 5-25, 2018. The tasks were to continue the Phase I, non-disturbance survey to locate and identify further remains of 18th-century ships in a limited section of Newport's Outer Harbor, and to begin the preliminary detailed but non-disturbance investigations of sites previously found and mapped in that area.
